Ameen is also the founder of Bahrain Game Developers (BGD), which is the local game development community in Bahrain that has been established back in late 2012.
BGD is the hub that provides a platform for local game developers to share ideas and showcase their work globally.
Ameen is also a frequent speaker at major world game development conferences such as Dubai World Game Expo (DWGE) and MENA Game Conference (MEGA).
Ameen specializes in the low-level aspects of game development such as game engine design and architecture, networking, performance and toolset development.
He has worked on game consoles like the PSP, PS2 and PS3. His personal projects include a game he has been working on with the name “Dead Gear” with a help of a team from the US.
Ameen is an active lecturer on aspects like programming and game development, he annually organizes the “GCC Global Game Jam” competition for game developers across the GCC, he is also the founder the “Linux Freaks” community for Linux enthusiasts in Bahrain.
